As I’ve said before, it’s tough to integrate a baby room into a modern home without it looking out of place. 2Modern has also come out with a pretty fantastic line with a lot of options for furniture. Here are some of my favorites:

This Argington deal is pretty unbeatable:
These trendy wall lamps are pricey, but they are perfect for hallways and rooms that need a little extra character with chic modern appeal.

The Caboche wall lamp, $557

Corrubedo wall lamp, $182

Double 07 wall lamp, $646

Tutu 07 wall lamp, $400
These backsplashes from ModWalls are pretty awesome. Which is your favorite? Would you consider putting in a custom backsplash for your place?

This gorgeous modern apartment in the Upper West Side in Manhattan has gone green. The 3,000 square foot home was remodeled by Hariri & Hariri and featured in Architectural Digest. “The architects… hooked up all the systems—heating, cooling, lighting, shades, humidity, audiovisual, computers and telephone—to a brainy computer hidden in a closet off the bar.” A smart home, indeed.

It’s hard to get more art deco than Miami’s South Beach and the Delano is no exception. This ultra-chic hotel caters to the modern palette with a perfectly landscaped yard, exquisite pool, gorgeous columned entryway and secluded cabanas. The white motif is the definition of timeless.

Ok, this is seriously cool. The designers at the Vienna-based Steininger are doing green right. Not only is their modern kitchen design amazing, but they have also managed to integrate a little life admist all the concrete. Check out this amazing potted plant on top of the hideaway cabinet:
What a refreshingly simple idea! Plant your basil, rosemary and thyme and have it be easily accessible while you’re preparing your fresh and delicious fare.
Check out this amazing home designed by German architects. The “Fincube” boasts a small carbon footprint (and less than 200 square feet) and maximum portability. Check out the photos, via Arch Daily:
